‘GUITAR ON VOCALS’ IS V PLAY MUSIC’S PROOF THAT GUITARS CAN TAKE THE MAIN LEAD ROLE IN MUSIC.
“Who Needs Vocals When You Can Make Your Guitar Sing” says V Play Music and when it comes to playing a guitar, he definitely needs no vocalist to make you feel and dance to his music. But when he does have someone as a vocalist, its usually Bollywood artists like Badshah and Aastha Gill. He is also a producer, a lyricist and is a member of the award winning band Sankraman. He recides in Delhi and discovered his voice in music at the age of 18.
In 2016 V Play Music started playing as a freelance artist and got the opportunity to perform with Badshah and eventually connected with artists like Aastha Gill, Anusha Mani, Sukriti Kakar and shared stage with Legendary artists like Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kailash Kher, Gurdaas Man Ji etc. In 2018 V Play Music had a successful tour in USA with Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan & Aastha Gill, V Play Music has done gigs with Bollywood artists all across the globe.
‘Guitar on Vocals’ is his presentation of a new vision and experience to the audience as to how they perceive instrumental music and make more people fall in love with each instrument for its timbre and tone than to just focus on the vocals. He has released 4 songs of the album as singles, previously on all major streaming services and on 17th April 2021 he’s releasing the whole 8 track album. His album is to break the barrier of needing vocals for a song to feel complete and he does so, very well with his virtuosity on guitars.
His entire album is an instrumental one and each song having an intro, chorus and bridge like all pop music follows but he does it all with guitars making layers of beautifully played melodies and chords to make song after song. This album is an example of how instrumental music fills the void in the language gap compared to music that is usually divided by language of the lyrics.
